The alpine valley of Montafon is 39 km long, its 11 places lie between 650 and 1,450 m above sea level, surrounded by mountains to 3,312 m (Piz Buin). In addition to places with a predominantly sporting character and a varied leisure program, the Montafon invites you to enjoy cozy, family-friendly resorts and quiet recreational areas.
We have 500 km of perfectly maintained summer hiking trails, and 850 km of biking.

Our village of Schruns, which was raised to the market in 1928, has about 4,800 inhabitants and is the main town of the Montafon. Schruns lies in a large valley cove surrounded by the splendid mountain scenery of the Verwall and Rätikon. Schruns has a wide range of tourist attractions. Here is also the terminus of the Montafon Railway.

And the point of departure of the postal buses to the other municipalities of the Montafon.
Thus our hotel Litz ****, which is very centrally located in the middle of Schruns, offers the best conditions to discover everything.

Our valley of Montafon has a top hiking region in low, medium and alpine locations. Modern mountain railways, cozy mountain huts invite you to "taste" to taste our specialties of the valley of Montafon. The well-known "Sura Käs", Käsespätzle, the self-baked Enzian schnaps, Berghonig, (www.bewusstmontafon.at) are just a small excerpt, which we produce in the valley.

For our youngest and youngest guests the Aktivpark is a huge playground with many attractions.
